have a midway flying saucer arcade.real nice machine.but I'm having 1 problem flying saucer target does not work.it does not register any points when hit, also target only goes side to side it does not go up and down as it should(motor for this checks out ok)if anyone is familiar with this machine any help would be appreciated.service manual or schematic would be great.even any pictures of how the flying saucer mech should look would be nice.
thanks in advance.

i have a flying suacer too, its hard to get help on this board with some games,, my flying saucer used to work fine but now it goes up and stays all the way up and cant be shot so i have to shoot the bottom targets and then it starts the same sequence again

thanks wow somebody answered me.yea i thought someone would have some info.but no luck so far.hey if its not to much trouble could you email a pic of the the moving target mech(i just want to see if a wire or somthing is just not right).thanks.would love to get this running...

i dont have a flying saucer but i have a game with a similar mech there should be a string in it. getting help on em games is a bit tougher then say a tempest but there are people here who do have em games.

If you are referring to the white ring in the last two pictures, it appears to be a pinball rubber. Measure yours and order from pbresource.com, or call them with the machine info and they should be able to get the correct size for you.

You have to understand that many of these old EM games are very uncommon and not many people have them. Finding someone that is skilled at working on them is even harder. Your best bet is to scan the marvin3m site on EM's and follow the guidelines for cleaning all the contacts in the machine. If you still have problems after that, you can ask him about schematics or ask in the rgp newsgroup...many of the EM pin guys can be helpful.
