Which direction is your original dedicate monitor mounted? Mine is a K7000 mounted with the red crt anode to the left, bottom metal frame to the right.

Game is correct but if I flip to test everything is upside down. So now I wonder if the monitor is in backwards and the board has some game flip mode?

so I wanna put it back in the correct way.

up!

Now the "real" answer:

1943's DIP switch settings were a little wonky IIRC

DIP switch #1 in the off position is normal orientation
DIP switch #1 in the on position is flipped and trips the service mode

So...wire up your service button, leave dip 1 off and press the service button to access test mode rather than tripping switch #1 to do so.

Doing the above should give you normal operation in both regards ;)

so is your monitor mounted the same fashion as mine? Its easy to swap I just want to get it where it supposed to be

It is where it's supposed to be.
As I said, 1943 has a wonky dip switch configuration causing the weirdness you describe.
Just disregard the test dip switch 1 altogether....leave it set to off and access your test menu by using the service button instead...that'll fix your issues and ensure both the game and the test/setup screen is the same orientation
