1942 cockpit?

Saw this on a local ad. Cant find annything about a cockpit version of 1942. Anybody know anything about this?

Ahhh, very good, very good. I have a 1943 and never recalled a cockpit. Thought I was loosing my mind there for a minute.
 
growing up, the 1943 i always played was in a white plastic cockpit with the controls in one of the arm rests. dont know what it was originally, as a kid i always assumed that was normal. thinking it might have been a star trek.
 
Mach 3 cockpits became a bunch of random flying games, 1942, Choplifter, etc.

Small world. In the 90's we had a Star Trek sit-down converted to 1943 show up at a San Jose Super Auctions. Exactly as you described. I wish I had taken a picture, because it is one of the most memorable conversions I've bumped into.
