1942 Arcade Game - did Williams make one of these ?

Maybe a dumb question, but i was looking for 1942 on the klov pages and at the bottom of the 1942 page, there was a williams branded 1942 marquee image.

Did williams do a 1942 video game (under license ?) and if so has anyone got a picture of the cab ?

Cheers!

...except that is an Atari Xevious cab with what appears to be a Williams 1942 conversion kit installed.

Thats an interesting factoid about a williams version. I use to play the crap outta that game bitd. I feel 1943 is a bit better with the 2 player option though.

must admit i like the depicted xevious cab better than the original on the KLOV site

so far we have seen
a williams branded 1942 marquee pic
a williams licensed 1942 pcb set
a xevious conversion to williams 1942.

so was the williams licensed 1942 set a conversion kit only (artwork, cp and pcb?) or did it have a dedicated williams cab ?

I've got one of these in a Williams Joust style cab. It looks pretty nice and "retrofit" like, but I don't think it's dedicated. I didn't even realize it was a williams 1942 until reading this thread. If anyone cares, I can post pics.

Andy,

Here are a few pics. Sorry, but it was buried too deep for me to dig it out at the moment so I can't comment on the boards. But I would wager that it has the Williams boards...definitely looks like a Williams retrofit kit.

I think it was just a kit which is very strange. I have a promotional flyer about it somewhere...or I saw it in an old play meter magazine.

thats fantastic john! could you do a pic of the monitor bezel too ? on second looks, there is an instruction card but prob no bezel art. damn. and no cpo. dbl damn.

didnt realize there were two versions of this. would love to get a set of the sideart or even a scan if someone would be willing would love to do mine up right.

I would also love a set of williams sideart as per all these cabs, and, the CPO and bezel as per the newspaper clipping!

What do you have as a CPO ?:D

Does anyone have the pictured CPO and bezel on their game ?
