About 3 years ago I got a 1024-in-1 to use in a Primal Rage cab I had with a K7000. It worked great except the top 10-15% of the monitor was out of sync. I couldn't find a solution. I sold the 1024-in-1.

Flash forward to a couple weeks ago. A customer wants a 1940-in-1... the cab I have has a K7000 in it. I ask a few sellers if they still have problems with the K7000 and the answer I got was "nope"...

Well...

Evidently the problem still exists. Anyone know how to fix this problem. This is a different K7000 than the last time I tried one of these pieces of shit (yes, I hate them, but that is what the guy wants).

WTF... the guy is going to be here Wednesday to pick the cab up and I can't sell it to him like this.

Any suggestions?

(PS: The sync issue evident in the photo is evident in all games and the menu).

PS: The monitor is freshly capped and looks fantastic with other JAMMA boards.

What synch input do you have the synch wire connected to? I suggest connecting it to all of them. :D

Sync is hooked up to the inner-most pin (furthest away from RED)... the current setup uses a 2nd 3 pin connector with ground on one end...a space... then the sync.

The easiest would be to swap with a non 7000 if you have one in another game. I have no clue how to fix it, unfortunately.

I was just told to use PAL mode and adjust the monitor... which I just tried... but it's not working right either... I now have fold-over at the bottom of the screen in PAL mode.

Any reason why WG monitors have two positive and two negative syncs? Never quite understood that.

PAL should definitely fix it. I was having the same issue with a system I built for a friend.

Electrohome monitors have all four syncs available as well. It's not necessary in the Jamma age but early programmers sometimes used the positive sync.

Have you tried adjusting the 50/60Hz pot? Sometimes bootleg Jamma boards don't sync right when I test them and I have to adjust that pot to get the screen lined up. Then once everything is lined up I move the jumpers around to center the pic.

...when I switch to PAL i can get the screen to show up without the sync issue but it's squished down to about 2/3 the vertical size...if I increase the vertical size I get foldover on the bottom...

:(

I am getting really bummed out about this crap...

THIS was the key to success!! Not in NTSC mode... but in PAL mode I adjusted the 50/60 and all is good!

>woot!<

Thank you!

Just wanted to add, that I had this exact same problem. It just needed to be put on PAL and then adjusted. In NTSC, I could not get rid of the top fold over no matter how much/type adjusting I tried. This happened on two cabinets with K7000 monitors with the Family Games Multicade system. Now they have great pictures with video output in PAL, - this posting helped me out.
