I was looking at this...

My question is... does anyone know if the games play like the original PCBs? I have a 60 in1 ICADE and those who have it know... all the games have the company logos deleted from the game (I guess for copyright reasons) and some of the games, the sounds are distorted and messed up. Other games just don't play the same. With this PC based board, are the original ROMS loaded into it? Does it display the games company logos? Sound roms sound like they should? Any thoughts?

It's MAME. Literally they made a frontend for MAME and then miniaturized a PC and stuck it on a circuit board. Highly illegal, but it's not like the Chinese actually care about our silly little copyright laws.

Just put MAME on an old PC, get a J-PAC and call it a day.

I know WHAT it is, but HOW WELL does it play? Since its a dedicated CPU, will some more complex games run a little better than a PC?

Honestly? No. You have no idea what version is on there or the quality of it, and you can forget about upgrading it.

For that kind of money you could pick up a recent used PC on craigslist and pair it with a J-PAC, and have a MUCH better setup, running the latest version with the best emulation available and more processing power for those "tough" games (though they'll likely still be slow). Do Not Buy.
