Alright folks... there's been a number of threads about the availability of 19" monitors (or lack there of). There has been a number of distributors and manufacturers suggested.

Question... has ANYONE actually bought any 19" monitors recently and if so, from who and what price? I am looking for the best bang for the buck... I need at least one, might go two.

Thank you.

EDIT: Wrong freakin' forum.... and since I can't DELETE a post for whatever reason, I'll leave it and double post in the right forum. Sorry folks.

I'm pretty sure this is not the answer you were looking for, but I bought 5 for $100 last month. Low burn late model chassis from an 8 Liner shop. Previous purchase 5 for $20, 3 working from a different 8 Liner shop. Check your local 8 Liners, most are converting their CRT games to LCD and just throwing the tube monitors away. I called one place and just missed getting 10 late model WG monitors because the garbage truck just pulled up while I was on the phone with them .

I am in B.F. Idaho... the nearest 8-liners is likely Vegas.

i suspect Frizzle is talking about ordering new from a vendor that's available say, on-line or over the phone to any customer and has a reasonable stock on-hand.

I can't confirm recent results, but I know in the past I bought 25 inch monitors for $199 from Alva-amusements.

I only buy chassis from them now, I haven't tried buying a full monitor from them in a couple years, but I'm sure they still sell them.

Just got my Betson monitor!!

Looks nice, not digital though.. has the remote board with manual pots

Came with some nice adapters and a power cord that plugs into wall and connects to the standard 2 prong molex

Anyone want pics?

Is that a Kortek KT-2002? May have a sticker on the back of the neckboard.

Ah ok - I think its usually 2001, 2002, or 2003 (03 may be med res). I had two of those, practically brand new, that some idiot smashed. One is saveable but I think the yoke is damaged.

I remember not about 2 years ago ops were blowing out brand new 20 inch Sharp Image monitors for $125 after that company went under. I have one NOS with the static protection plastic still on the monitor.
