Hey guys,
Thinking it's most likely the tube, but maybe someone here's got an idea. It's in a Narc cab. and does have green, but in test mode, when I go to the color bar test, it's barely there. Crank up the adjustments, and it'll just bleed over from the top bars, doesn't really add any more to the pic. I've got the red and blue adjusted out pretty well, and the game is playable, but just doesn't look 100%. Any thoughts?

Rejuvenator, Rejuvenator, Rejuvenator.. if that doesn't work you have a cheap rejuvenator or you have a very low electron emission due to depletion. It could be other things however if you ruled it to be the tube those are your options. Double check your heater voltage. You could do a hv hack to accelerate / pull your electrons howerver that is dangerous, against x-ray rules & could destroy components / chassis board.

arcadecup is right.
9/10 of those 19" medium res monitor tubes are shorted.
The rejuvenator has worked great for me fixing those tubes.. makes them look like new.

sounds like my K7500. exactly like it. the green SUCKS on it. the contrast does all kinds of weird shit with the red and blue tints too. I'll adjust the monitor out, come back later, and it goes to like almost all blue picture. loses focus sometimes as well, but I reckon that's from having to adjust everything else on it.

other than that, the picture's still bright-ish. I did a transistor swap on the R and G, and the red tint is still strong and the green is still weak even after tweaking the drivers and cutoffs.

sorry, not trying to derail on you, just seems like this is common with WG med. res. :)

good luck.

Thanks guys, I'll give the rejuvenator a shot...hopefully it corrects this.

That's probably a flyback. I've had problems with those in the past. If you adjust the focus and leave it alone and it goes out by itself, that's where I'd start looking.

yeah, well I'm hoping I can get one of my standard res monitors fixed, then I can take my other U5000 out and use it medium res in place of that K7500. keep the K7500 as a spare at that point. I think I also mentioned that the color bias changes on its own too, even after I've adjusted it out after the monitor's been on for awhile. the blue fluctuates, either the screen has a reddish tint (since the white can't balance because of the f-ed up green) or it turns purple (because the blue starts changing on its own!)
