I've installed a cap kit for the 19" Matsushita monitor in my Millipede. Colours look great!

I can't seem to get the picture to focus. Everything is slightly fuzzy with the exception of the reds. The reds are clear and crisp.

Perhaps unrelated, there are two video cables to connect to the monitor; one gives a picture with the aforementioned focus issue, the other throws the vertical hold all out of wack.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If your reds are sharp but green and blue aren't, that could be a symptom of tired guns in the tube. A rejuv / clean-balance can help with that. Focus issues can also be related to a failing flyback, but I would think the entire image would be experiencing focus issues if that were the case.

Thanks,
Jason

Have the same issue with a Matsu 13". Sent to sharp Image repair to see if they can fix it. Mixed reviews on those guys so we will see

Had the same issue. Moved the tube to a different chassis and it was fine in my case FWIW

What's your B+?

My advice is to stick the monitor on a shelf until repro flybacks become available someday…

I have a fully rebuilt Matsushita TM-202G chassis. I can also test your tube if you bring it with you next time you travel to Metro Detroit.
