I noticed the monitor was flickering and assumed the flyback was the culprit.
So I pulled the monitor and installed a new flyback and a cap kit.
The old flyback was the white knob version, so I figured it was time to do the job anyway.

Well, needless to say I noticed the same flickering once I got it back together.
Another curious issue was the focus knob on the flyback now has to be turned ALL the way one direction to get a clear picture.
I would say it is not as clear as it needs to be, can't turn far enough I'd guess.

Any ideas on the cause, looking at the K7000 Stickie, I need to check all solder joints.... any ideas on the focus?

BTW, ticking sound on the video is coming from the speaker.

make sure the anode fingers inside the anode cup have good tension in the anode hole. i have had that problem before. and that helped with focus.

Is the dag ground good going from the back of the tube to the neckboard?
(metal braided wire across the back of the tube)

you sure the focus wire is connected securely?'
check it over really good for cold solder joints...

has it been recapped yet?

and most important you have tried adjusting the vertical hold right?
i also vote to try it with a different game signal if you have another game you can backup to it and plug in..

flickering

Check ground from around tube to chassis and neck board and make sure they connect.
Do you see flashing in tube by the neck board. At first it seem to me that you have a short of sort in that area in the tube. Try another chassis or rejuve the tube and see if it burns off any foreign item on you guns or heater.
You could try rapping the glass with a screwdriver handle softly and see if it dislodges any item. I have seen this many times in past, but try another chassis first before rejuving the tube as you could loose a gun when rejuving.

thats weired man... the way it changed when game screens do realy makes me want to have ya test this with a different game.
