From the back to front, can someone give me the video pinout for a standard K7000? (Use K for the space between the large and small headers). I need to wire a wafer connector to my new jamma harness and can't remember the pinout. Thanks!!

Back to front: (in case you can't/won't check Ken's link)

10 - Negative Horizontal Sync
9 - Negative Vertical Sync
8 - Ground
7 - Key
6 - Positive Horizontal Sync
5 - Positive Vertical Sync
4 - Ground
3 - Blue
2 - Green
1 - Red

Whoa. Do all those wires get hooked up. Really? This is for Double Dragon/ Jamma games. All 4 syncs? Or just the pos? Does the ground get looped, or a second ground added?

You asked for the pinout of the monitor.

For your JAMMA game, just use pins: 1, 2, 3, 4, & 10...

left to right or top to bottom? If your horizontal width won't adjust wide enough, you'll need to change the value of C38...

Both really. I tried another board and it fills more of the screen than DD does, but still has at least an inch and a half frame gap around the outside.

vertical height is usually controlled by the adjustment pot on the chassis or remote...

It just starts cutting the top and bottom text off when I increase the size. Maybe the video display for DD is supposed to be compact, like Moon Patrol or Marble Madness? Maybe not.

If the top starts folding over when you increase the height (and it's been capped), adjust the 50/60 hz pot...

The video display for Moon Patrol is supposed to fill the screen. But, many don't. You may have or someone else undid the original 4903 mods to make it wider (by capping it with a regular old 4900 cap kit)

I was gonna look into this on mine:

Purpose: Monitor changes for MOON PATROL games

Change: The K4903 monitor used in your MOON PATROL game differs slightly
from the K4901 monitor schematic enclosed in the information packet.

DIFFERENCES INCLUDE (1) & (2) the addition of two resistors in the vertical
sweep section, (3) the substitution of a lower-value capacitor for another
capacitor in the horizontal sweep section, and (4) the deletion of a jumper
wire also in the horizontal sweep section.

Pencil these changes in on your K4901 monitor schematic set:

(1) Add 82K, 1/4W resistor R387 across C309.

(2) Add 3.9K, 1/4W resistor R316 across C314.

(3) Changes the value of electrolytic capacitor C365 to 0.15 uF/400V
(Schematics show this as .33 uF/200V).

(4) Delete the horizontal-centering jumper.

Right on the back of the chassis. It's the one facing up instead of to the back. It's labelled 50/60.

Not the back (unless you mean if you are in front of the game). It is right next to the horizontal hold pot, facing up as mentioned...

I'd consider that to be the back. To me, the "front" of a monitor chassis would be the side closest the picture tube, and the "back" would be closest to the back door of the game.

Just like a television chassis - the "front" is where the user controls would be mounted, and the "back" would be where the power cord and antenna terminals enter.

But, yeah, if you're working on the chassis, then usually the "back" would be closest to you, and could therefore be called the "front".

Whatever. It's pot with "50/60" printed next to it on the circuit board. :D

I'm with you, and that's how I think of the front and back as well.
