19-in-1 Jamma Bartop Arcade Cabinet, 13" CRT. Great project/Jamma test rig
This is an officially released bartop cabinet from SNK Hanaho. It originally contained a Neo Geo 6-in-1 multigame board as seen on the factory installed side-art. It was going to be converted into a Blue Elf 2 2009 cabinet, hence the marquee. However, it currently has a 19-in-1 jamma multigame PCB.
Games on the 19-in-1 board include:
Defender
Stargate
Bubbles
Joust
Robotron 2084
Blaster
Splat
Rally-X
Battle City
Mario Bros
New Rally-X
Ghosts N Goblins
Solomon's Key
Gradius
Sky Kid
Ice Climber
Super Mario Bros
Do! Run Run
Kick Rider
The 13" CRT is original and has no burn-in. It's mounted in the horizontal position, so only horizontal jamma/multigame boards should be used.
Note that this should be considered a great PROJECT CABINET for somebody getting into arcade electronics, wiring, etc. It would also be a great JAMMA TEST RIG for those already knowledgeable. Dimensions are 17.5" wide, 25" tall, 23" deep. It weighs about 50 pounds. The power cable is included.
The cabinet in its original state did not have enough power for Jamma PCBs. It only had enough power to run the 6-in-1 Neo Geo board. So, a 15A switching arcade power supply was installed, as seen in one of the photos. This allows jamma boards like the 19-in-1 and others to run properly.
-Speaker issue: While the game boots up and runs properly with sound, there is a little buzzing coming from the speaker while the system is powered on. This was lessened by adding a resistor block to one of the speaker terminals. It would probably help if another resistor block was added to the other speaker terminal. They're readily available at Radio Shack for less than $10.
-Buttons issue: The buttons are not all wired properly for the 19-in-1 jamma board. This means that you won't be able to play the games without doing some kind of rewiring of the buttons to/from the jamma harness.
Due to these issues and this being a project-type cabinet, this is sold complete AS-IS, you're on your own, this is a fun project that needs work, etc. It's available for pickup near Madison, NJ. No shipping, please. Asking price is $400.
