This cabinet was working great in my garage. I just moved it to my arcade today and now the monitor is freaking. I can see arcing happening what looks inside the yoke. I can see the light flashing on the back of the tube where the yoke connects. I hope this makes sense.

I moved the cabinet on it's back as I always do. Do you think something inside the cab could have gotten inside the yoke, like a loose washer or screw, or is it another problem?

I should note, the move was smooth. Not bangs, bumps of anykind. This monitor also has the metal bars that wrap around the yoke to keep it safe.

I guess all I can really do now is take the yoke off and see if something falls out, if not it's pretty much toast?

Yeah pop that sucker off and let us know what you find. Does the flyback have any cracks on it?

I pulled the yoke off and couldn't find anything. I only pulled it off far enough so I didn't have to deal with the rings. I tipped the machine on it's face and jostled the yoke to see if anything was rattling or would fall out, nothing. I put it back together and the same thing, only maybe worse now?

I'm gonna put a new monitor in this cab and take this one home to work on. I will fully take the yoke off at home when I have better lighting.

The flyback seems fine, the board was capped a few weeks ago. Like I said, I just played it in my garage last night and for the last 2 weeks with no signs of trouble.

That sounds like the tube has been cracked and has lost its vacuum. Keep the chassis and yoke, but if there is arcing inside the tube neck then the tube is dead.

Bummer, so weird. Thanks for all the replies.

Hard to stay ahead, I just found a donar tube for one of my k7000 chassis yesterday and it works great. Guess I know where that monitor is going. I always seem to be one short LOL.
