19' chassis on 25' monitor, K5500, JS/WY replacement chassis?

I am unsure of what to do now: I rebuilt the chassis that came on my K5500 tube and discovered that it is likely from a 19 inch K4900 or similar monitor. After being rebuilt and adjusted I get a nice picture, but it is not full screen. The image takes up about as much room as it would on a 19' monitor, which means I have a nice black boarder around the screen.

What are my options? A Wei-Ya or Jen-Shin chassis? Where? Find a proper working K5500 chassis? How do I measure impedence of the yoke?

In spite of the problems, I'm happy. My games are at least playable now vs before I put a new horizontal width coil on, a cap kit, jumper wires, cold solder joint reflows, etc.

Thanks for the tip Ken.

Per the screen boarder issue: Bob Roberts thinks it might be related to B+. I have always heard that the B+ measurement on 4900 style monitors is a measurement only and is non adjustable. Can the monitor techs out there give some thoughts?

I'll post pics of my monitor and screen image when I get home.

B+=153.6
Time to follow the steps in the previous post and post back...

Post a picture of your chassis. The K5500 is the 25" version of the K4900, and looks almost exactly the same but for a few differences.

If you rebuilt it with a K4900 kit (like using a K4900 HOT or voltage regulator), that may explain your smaller picture.

I have a game with a K5501 in it, and have worked on it before...

B+ now 152V
Outer case of hot at 128V

Replaced Q351 and IC 501 from a parts chassis I have. No change. Flyback, J33, R355 reflowed.

Chassis has a chunk missing at the upper right around the sandbox resistors that has been jumpered. I suppose one or more of these resistors could be out but I am clueless about where to get replacements or their values at the moment. Continuity checked in damaged area against an undamaged 4900 I pulled from my Altered Beast.

Pics attached!

I'm not sure that isn't a K4900 instead of a K5500. My 5500 has a small board mounted on top of the left side wall. Don't see that on yours...

From what I've seen, that means yours is a medium resolution monitor.

Nope. Standard-res. I don't think it's hooked up. It's in a Lethal Enforcers and the tag says K5501 on it.

If you want me to look at it for you, you can always drop it off...
