19" amplifone vector with all parts EXCEPT yoke

Any idea on what this is worth?

I'm going through all my SW uprights and one of them has the tube and all the board but no yoke.
I'll probably put in a 6100

A properly converged and working Amplifone provides a much better image than a wg6100 and is 2 to 3 times more valuable. The Amplifone CRT's are in very high demand, especially with the repro Major Havoc machines being built.

Personally, I would prefer to find a yoke and repair the Amp but if that's not something you want to be bothered with then you'll have no trouble selling the Amp parts. A lot of Star Wars machines have a wg6100 in them and they're just fine. A SW cab with an Amp is considerably more valuable.

Good luck,

Bill B.

The 6100 sucks during the Death Star explosion. The game overdrives the monitor and it gets all distrorted and looks bad. I don't know the value of the Amp but I wouldn't consider less than $750 myself if it is in nice shape.

That's actually pretty close to market value in my opinion. By "good one", I would expect good clean PCBs (latest version, green I think) without burns and recapped and the zero-ohm resistors all replaced with proper solid wire jumpers, a Wintron or other new repro HVT, a CRT with no phosphor burned holes, very low or no burn, and no scratches on the glass face.

The Amp 90° yoke is made of 90% unobtanium. I bet you'd sell the pieces separately far more quickly and maybe even for more money than an (in)complete set.

Full disclosure: I'll buy the yoke-less tube if it's in good shape.
