17 year old CPS2 Battery (and it's still good!)

you got the stuffs to do that or you sending it out? i think nerdy might need a resurrection.

I pushed my AvP at the minimum 8 years (+ however long it was since replacement before i got it). then bought batteries and waited 4 months to install them so who am i to talk lol.

Was definitely worth the wait tho this new Hakko station i got is amazing.

I can't do it myself, but there are "good people" who can. ;)

I was amazed how easy it was to replace a battery on CPS2. The fact that you can remove the battery completely and just replace it works great. I am using a desoldering gun to clean the hole and it makes it pretty quick although if you are good with a Edsyn Soldapullt that would work too :)

I put together a set of pictures when I did a few boards:

great pics, i have a ton of when i did my 2 boards, it was tough for me to get a good pic of my solder joints on the back with my old 5mp kodak z740. I think it takes more time to take apart the plastic shell then replacing the actual batteries.

I got my Edsyn Soldapullt from bob roberts and i love it.

I've got two of these I need to dothat I picked up on the extremely cheap anfew months ago. No clue when they were last changed out. What pisses me off is I can't seem to find a local supplier for these 1/2 AA batts. Tried frys and struck out, I'm shocked. They usually carry obscure shit like that. Gonna try BatteriesPlus and I'd that fails guess I will have to loathingly order them from an arcade shop online. :/

I hate that too, but you have to be careful with local suppliers, you have no idea how long those batteries were sitting on the shelf. I worked at Radio Shack back in the early 90's and we had components (resistors diodes, etc) from the 70's. I would rather order from Mouser or MCM/Newark and hope I got a more recently manufactured battery.

Most of the CPS2 replacements i see use this brand battery. and it came highly recommended in another thread.

I like Tadiran, made in Israel, which is better than China.

israel doesn't give me two pee pee touch like asian happy ending.

it's funny, but stupid (typical sandler crew). better than some of his other recent stuff (sandler that is). Rob Schneider is hilarious tho.

Jean Reno i've enjoyed in every movie he's been in, even when he's stuck with pre Tropic Thunder Tom Cruise.

Jean Reno is awesome. I loved the fact that he was in Onimusha 3: Demon Siege.

2 of my favorate movies with him:
The Professional
Ronin

For some reason I though he was in Maxim Risk with Van Dame, but I guess not. It would be awesome if here were in a movie with Van Damme!

Speaking of which:

They should have left off Travolta!

I still haven't seen the first Expendables in it's entirety, I dig Travolta tho. Recently I came to the realization that he was in the movie Carrie (as the jock boyfriend lul).

The Professional is just win all over.

i own Ronin but any time i try and watch it i fall asleep.
