Game looks really nice!

Williams 1980 / 1981 Defender converted to Stargate upright Arcade in good working condition.
Tool trade might be considered, mechanics, auto body....
The Pros...
Full cap kits for the monitor, power supply and logic board installed this year for extended reliable operation. Memory chips have been upgraged to newer more reliable 5volt chips from the old hot running 12volt chips. Many of the old chip sockets were replaced to eliminate possible problems with pin corrosion on chips. The monitor is bright and looks good during game play, but does has very faint screen burn if you look very closely. Except for the missing key to the coin box lock, the cabinet is good condition. The control panel overlay is also brand new. Worn out buttons replaced with new. The old hardware is available if desired. Also included is an extra pre-drilled control panel perfect for a new Defender overlay.
The Cons...
This cabinet has a sorted past. When I bought it, it was originally advertised as a Stargate Cabinet. Instead I discovered it had originally been a Defender cabinet that was converted to Stargate. Using the extra control panel included it can be converted back easily if desired. The game had been stored and neglected for some time. Some of the particle board panels on the back were literally falling apart. New panels were cut painted and installed on the back side. Now the panels are as good or perhaps better than new. The photos perhaps make the cabinet look a little better than in person by glossing over some of the scuffs and scrapes, but overall it still looks very good for it's age. When the system is cold and first turned on it can make a tiny whistle noise for about 60 seconds. It disappears, never returns while playing and doesn't affect game play. It only happens once at the first cold startup.
Things to consider...
T-molding, generally in fair shape, but new molding would look very nice. Also a bit of touch up paint would make things look better. The coin box works, but needs a key and shows signs of rust here and there. I removed the original battery pack from the circuit card as it was damaged. I never installed another. Currently the high scores are not saved at power off and the system will complain at start up about a configuration problem since the battery missing.
Will post additional photos this afternoon.
