I really want this, but I can't make the trip over from Columbus today. If anyone closer wants to pick it up for me, send me a PM! I'll throw something your way for your troubles. At that price, I don't think it will last long. edit: since they've now made it a best offer listing, guess that takes my offer off the table.

It looks like they modified the front, hopefully it's just some plywood over the original front panel with a credit switched wired in.

an auction? how so?

Looks like they changed the ad:

"Because of the overwhelming responses we will be asking for best offer."

Whatever. Dig Dugs are common, and they're commonly found with coin slots. Couldn't pay me to take that one.

ahh, i just had to force a refresh of the page, it was loading the old cached version for me. Oh well.

hah, glad I didn't jump in the car this morning and start driving then. I'd be pissed to show up after driving 3 hours to find out the price had doubled. I wouldn't mind paying 250-300 for one, but not under these circumstances.

I @&$%*& HATE it when realtors do this. They get some abandoned property with a vid in it and think they've got some kind of gold mine when they get more than one interested buyer.

Greedy opportunists.

Call them back and tell them to get bent. The arcade collecting community is watching it now and it's tainted goods.

When I called this morning I got an answering machine/voicemail, and it said something about a gallery.

When you google the phone number, I found some other listings from them on CL, calling themselves the "Ghetto Gallery". They've got some furniture for sale as well on CL, but didn't find much else about them.

hah, looks like dig dug survived the weekend without any buyers. Had they not decided to swap to the "best offer" I would have been there to buy it on saturday.

Now they are cross-posting it to the Columbus craigslist, i went ahead and flagged it as miscategorized seeing as how it is a solid 2.5 - 3 hours away.

Shoot them a message, stating you'll go $650 for it........when they reply back stating "you won"...........never reply back (or reply stating you just found one for $150, so you're gonna pass.).:D

Hah, I have a feeling that's what already happened, someone made them an offer and didn't actually buy it, and now they've convinced themselves it's worth more than it is. If I was closer, I would just show up and say, "here's $150, take it or leave it" and see what they do.
