Hi Guys-

I picked up a Touchmaster 7000, and it has what looks like a Wells Gardner 13K7201. The main board is labeled 'P757-D' the neck board is labeled 'P759'. Anyways, the chassis was disconnected, and I think that I figured out how everything goes back together except for a few things.

-The center terminal on the yoke does not have anything soldered to it. Is that a ground? If so, where does it connect to? See yoke.jpg

-The grounding strap around the tube is not connected to anything. Where does it go?See gndstrap.jpg

-On the main board, I can see a hole that used to have a wire soldered into it. What goes there? See p757d.jpg

-On the neck board, there is a piece of black wire that has been cut off. It is labeled 'CRT GND'. Where does that go? See p759.jpg

I looked at other posts as well as the monitor schematics and figured out how to connect everything up except for these last few things. Also, there's a loose black wire in the cabinet. I realize that all of the above mystery connections are all connected to each other somehow, but I'm just not sure how. I attached photos of each and circled the area that I'm talking about.

Thanks!
Rich

DO NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!! connect ANYTHING to the yoke!!!!!!!!!!

that center pin is NOT used!!

that black wire in your hand will need to be soldered to the neck board in the place you have circled.

you will have to desolder what is there, strip the wire and solder it back in the hole.

Peace
Buffett

Thanks!

Buffett-

Thanks for the info. Definitely won't connect anything to the yoke, and I'll solder the ground strap wire to the neck board. Any idea then what was connected to the main board where I circled?

Thanks,
Rich

that is suppose to be a wire connecting to your neckboard from that point to complete the ground circuit.

Thank You!

Thanks again, you guys! Got those two grounds connected, and it's working great!

When I first read the post from Paul400, the first thing I thought was wait...that's where Buffett told me to connect the wire from from the tube. Then I took a second look at my neck board, and I saw the hole where a wire had obviously been soldered before.

I appreciate the help- I've got an electronics background, but I'm new to the monitor/picture tube stuff.

Thanks,
Rich
