Have a multi game that will not start when the monitor is hooked up. I checked the voltages and the wires going into the monitor show 132V. Everything to the transformer is 120V. Ever hear of a transformer going bad and sending out that kinda voltage??

That's not really bad voltage. Many transformers step up 10%. Are there additional lugs on the transformer that will allow you to alter the output voltage?

Ok..then if the voltage is ok ,I'm gonna swap out the monitor and see if its bad. It all worked for a year......but had intermittent problems with the monitor not turning on while the 1000/1 board would fire up....and also the board would not fire up and I'd have to do the "turn it on and off" routine until it went on. I'm gonna swap out the monitor and see if its a bad.
Thanks

The 130+ going to the monitor blew up two monitors I was trying to test....[/QUOTE

Did the same thing you did.....switched out to another transformer. Guess the 5610-09535 williams transformers are set to put out 130-134v. I didnt bother to check voltages on the transformer when I build the game and just assumed its output was set up already. I just fired her up and I cant believe it, but the monitor is working...but its rolling vert.....gonna see if I can adjust it.
Thanks for the link !!!

UUgghhh

Ever have one of those cabinets that you should just start over, strip the wiring and redo everything from scratch??? I replaced the 25K7100 chassis ,which was fried from 132v cursing thru it, with an 8-liner chassis. It worked for a week and this is what I get on start up this morning...aaaaaaarrrrrggggg. Anybody??? 25K7100 good or pieces o'crap??? Its getting yanked next chance I get.

looks like the monitor works, but something else is wrong with the game...

Disconnect your video input, turn down your red, remove your red drive transistor, etc. See if your red can go away. Can you hear it playing? Might be a power issue to your boards...
