I've got a million CR-31 13 inch tv's including a new in box magnavox with attached below stats. I've not come across a single 13 inch neck comparable with the G07's :(

I've not seen any game take anything other then a 13 inch G07. So are these tv's a waste of space with the CR31's or is there something out there that takes them as a doner?

Thanks

13" CR-31 tubes swap great into K4800 (13" K4900), K7000, and K7203 chassis. Next easiest is the K4700 (13" K4600), which takes CR-25 tubes which can be found in some early 1980s 13" sets; I've probably found 3-4 of them. I haven't done a TV swap on a K4700, but I have a few tubes to attempt with, when I get around to it.

Pretty much every other 13" monitor uses an oddball, unobtanium tube. In the case of the G07-FBO, it takes a CR-28 tube. There were only four 13" CR-28 tubes made, 370ESB22 (what's in the G07), 370BSB22, 370FVB22, and M34JCJ03X. I've looked in every every 13" TV I've seen on the curb or in thrift stores (and grabbed most of them), and have never seen one of those.

You might see if Buffett can make you an adapter so you can attempt a CR-25 swap. The only other option is to replace the monitor with one that uses a more common tube.

Thanks for the info guys... I don't know anything about working on monitors. But I've had to get a couple tube swaps done already which look great so I've found it good practice to snag any old CRT tv's I find in 13 & 19 inch in the event I need them. But I don't want to stock pile a tube with a useless neck. Glad to hear they are not useless...

Though I do wish there was a good easy G-07 doner for my centipede cocktail someday. The burn in two different spots bugs me.

Thanks again

You can just remove the socket from the g07 neck board and then solder in the socket that came on the tv chassis that came with the tube just modify its layout to match. A cr23 can be converted to a cr31 pretty easily. Its not the pretiest looking thing after your done but it can be done.
