I don't see any differention on Bob Robert's site for different sizes. It just says "G07 flyback". I have a new one here for the 19", but the 13" has a different number - A19183-B.

It would be nice if I could use the 19" version. I've already rebuilt the chassis and it works, but I'd rather not send this to the customer with new cap, new HOT and VR, and an old flyback....

Ask Bob. He will respond. :)

BTW, good question.

But will he do so in the next 5 minutes? :D

I don't want to wait until tomorrow, and I figure SOMEONE here has replaced a 13" G07 flyback before...

I found an old post on BYOAC where someone asked Bob for a 13" G07 flyback, and Bob told them that the same flyback was used for both now.

So, I'm gonna give it a shot and see what happens. If it blows up, then I'll put the old flyback in again...

Thanks, Ken.

I'd already put the 19" version in the chassis and everything is working. B+ is running at +118.7vdc, which is good because the 13" chassis has no B+ adjustment pot.

I may have to change the width cap and do the curl mod, but I'll no for usre when it's hooked up to the game it's going in...

Okay, somebody solve THIS problem for me while I'm out this evening.

The monitor is up and running, but it's not wide enough horizontally. There are about 2" of black on each end. Otherwise the picture looks okay.

No problem, right? Just swap out the width cap at C515, right? I wish it were that easy. Knowing that you decrease the value to increase the width, I took the original 554K cap out and replaced it with a 334K - but no change. So I replaced it again with a .056K - and no change. Hmm.

Noticed the ferrite core in the width coil was seized and cracked, so I put in a new one. No change. Hmm.

Replaced the HOT (2SD869). No change. Thought that - since the flyback was for the 19" - perhaps the HOT needs to be for the 19" also, so I put in a new 2SD870. No change. Hmm.

The only thing left that I can think of is maybe IC501? I've already installed all new caps, and I've just got done going over the entire board for cold solder, but it's not helping.

I guess I could stick the old flyback in to see if it changes. That would at least let me know if it's caused from having the wrong flyback in it.

Somebody figure this out for me....

I don't buy kits. I pull the old caps and match them with new ones...

Well, since Ken asked, I went back and checked the caps that I replaced against the cap kit for the 13", and found 3 that were the wrong value. I changed them to the correct value, but it made no change at all.

So - just for S&G's, I put the old flyback in, and lo and behold I have a full picture again.

Now, onto my last issue. Running a 48-in-1 to this - as I have to various other 19" G07's with no issues - and get the tiny bit of curl we've come to expect from this pairing. BUT - whenever the screen goes to a full picture, the picture jumps a bit, or the hold goes out for a second before locking again. I've already replace IC501 and the Horiz Freq pot. I haven't been able to adjust it to a point where it will stop doing that. What next?

Yep. Did that right away, and they are the 390-ohm resistors.

This monitor is giving me a headache...
