First I'm not sure if I have a 13 or 15 inch?

Its a WG4700 from a Galaga mini the tube in it now is A37 something

So is that 15? Anyone done swap on these what kinda tube am I looking for?

I'm really only familiar with looking for 19's CR31's & CR23's

I capped it and its running ok but it has a big "GAME OVER" burned in the center and I'd really like to swap it out.

I hate these damn WG4600 type style monitor total pain in the ass to cap too bad I didn't have a G07 style oh well now gotta find a tube the capping is done! Only worse one was the Nintendo one!

Its also slightly off center no adjustment pot or peg to move is there some cap to swap to adjust it?

You can get a measuring tape and measure the viewable area diagonally. As for replacing the tube. You should be able to either take the yoke off the original tube you have now and just put it on the donor tube. Or find another tube with a yoke that has the same/close Horizontal Vertical ohms. You can test that with a multimeter.

mostly I was try to figure out is A37 15 inch? like A48 is 19.

and what CR type tube do I need. I have swapped many a 19 inch already yokes as well for g07 once in a while I can find a drop cr31 for 7000's

From the looks of it A37 is a 13" tube. http://www.junknet.net/donor-tvs Scroll all the way down and look at the last 2 tubes. Both start with A37 and both are 13" tubes. I'm actually trying to get rid of a newer model 13" tv right now. lol Do you have the full tube number?

A WG13K4700 uses a CR25 tube.

my original tube is 370DJB22 and is a CR25 accord to BK manual

So old tubes are 370 and new tube are A34 or A37? which are the ones I need to replace this? or is it A33? 33cm is the closest to 13 inch when converted

kinda like old 19s are 19XXX and new ones are A48XXX but not A51!

Just found a 13 inch Sears TV at the thrift store with a 370FCB22 in it which looks like its compatible. Cost me $10 bucks though! ouch!

After looking at about 9 of them this was only CR25 so I grabbed it up we'll see how it goes

Did you check the yokes H/V ohms? It matters with the yoke a ton too. You can't just grab a 13" tube and pop it in.

Heck no I tossed the yoke. The stupid 4700 yoke is soldered to the board and has extra wires so I just swapped it. I almost always swap the yoke. As long as you mark the rings your good!

And pretty much you can just pop any old tube in there is its the right size and pinout!

BTW -- SUCCESS Monitor works great with nice fresh tube! No more "Game Over" and ancient high scores burned into the face!

From my understanding the yoke H/V has to be at least in the same range. Maybe you just got lucky. If that were the case every yoke would have the same H/V ohms. And that tube donor page wouldn't even need to exist. Just trying to help you out. Can someone else prove me right or wrong? I don't want to give out wrong information.

I swapped the yoke. No luck in that part. I have done tons on 19 inch tube swaps. I always just put the original arcade monitor yoke on the new tube and toss the TV one.

Ahh I didn't see you say anywhere that you swapped the yoke. Well if the yoke was within the original yoke ohms on your original monitor you wouldn't have to swap the yoke. Just pop it right in.

Almost always the connectors don't match either so you have to do solder heat shirk etc. I find it easier to use the arcade yoke. Plus then I know I can still swap chassis around with minimal adjustment. When you stick a close one in there you gotta tweak to get it to work.

Too each his own though so whatever works easiest for you!
