10in Sharp touch screen monitors/ With pics, and info

Ok. An update:

- I got 2 of the working... well, sort of (have not worked on the third one). Power was disconnected from the VAMP board on one, the other had a couple of connections broken.

- The blue/black wires are the brightness. Shorting them, brings the screen up.

- However, if you take a look, they look like Ass! not usable as is. That is at 640x480. I will play with the colors etc. And, yes, that picture is in focus...

The connector that was not connected:

The screen (both look the same): :(

I will continue to work on it after supper, but its not promising so far...

woohoo! the screen looks like it is getting a signal at the wrong resolution.

these things were made for dos/win95/98 so xp may be a bitch about going 640x480.

are they too bright? do we need to get a pot for those two wires?

Dont get too excited... :( This is on Windows 98... The POST screen looks like ass too, so I dont think its a resolution thing...

What were these out of originally?

That what i get for having the temperary workers take this shit apart...Next time ill do it myself

mine is working with the 2 spliced wires. it is displaying my laptops 1024 x 768 desktop stretched horizontally, but not vertically. so the bottom of the screen is not showing up. strange.

soon I will hook it up to my epia itx motherboard. that displays 640x480.

I can see if i can salvage some of these knobs to adjust the brightness, if you guys want???

please post a couple pics after you guys get these up and running

All orders were sent out today, UPS to the guys that ordered these this weekend

I HAVE 7 KITS LEFT!!!

I also have a ton of parts, some of the connectors are cut (by temp workers) so im not selling them as kits...but they are complete

These would be at a discount

do you have it plugged into a laptop? unless your laptop is from the mid to late 90s, it probably doesn't do 640x480.

Its an older laptop... It can do 640x480.

Can you post a picture? Does yours look okay?

Another update...

I can get 2 of them to come up with 800x600. They look okay (not great, but okay). about 1/4 of the screen wraps top to bottom. Moving the image to the correct location leaves a very noticeable line 1/4 of the way down across the screen. :(

The 3rd screen is DOA. White screen and nothing comes up. :(
