Hello all -

I have acquired a Frogger which appears to have a Nanao 100 volt monitor. The monitor plugs into a dedicated plug on the power supply board with a standard plug.

The PO attempted to install a HAPP Power Supply, but I am going to rewire the power supply board as he left the original stuff there and only re-wired some of the game to the Happ. No idea why. Right now the monitor makes its high voltage noise regardless of whether I plug in the Happ or plug in the original linear PS.

My question is...can I plug the monitor into the ac socket on the HAPP supply directly, or do I need to leave the old transformer and plug in there JUST to provide the 100 volts to the monitor, using the Happ only for the 5 and 12 volt supplies.

The game is dead right now, but I hope that is just to a bad wiring job.

Thanks -

Do NOT plug the monitor into the Happ power outlet. The 100v outlet in the cab is isolated power. The Happ power outlet is not isolated and will fry the monitor chassis.

That is what I figured...so...

I believe I should bring standard 125 volts into a distribution block and send it to the Happ PS to provide the low voltages and send another leg to the transformer for the monitor feed and the marquee light, etc.

Sound good or is there a better way I have missed? I plan on doing something similar to the Bob Roberts tutorial on building an PS Board - just leaving in place the 100volt power source.

Thoughts?
