Watching Grant go for the Frenzy WR tonight reminded me how much I like bererk/frenzy.
I'm going to hold onto it for now. I worked really hard on this restoration (my first one). I cant part with it.
Thanks for the interest. If I ever do sell it I'll keep those that were interested in mind.
Thanks,
Mike
I'm honored by that Mike! I love Berzerk and I love Frenzy, two fantastic games! Really 3 fantastic games if you take in consideration fast bullets, slow bullets as well!
I hate to say it but your machine is in much better condition than mine, its beautiful! I'm glad you decided to keep it!
Good choice.
I watched Grant for some time too and it is like we are playing a different game. Watching him I felt pumped up and went and played and got my ass handed to me as always.
Thank you for stopping by to watch! I actually didn't get really good at Frenzy till recently. Until recently, I was stuck at around 15,000 ~ 25,000 points, and then one night I was playing and it just clicked, I started to see the game differently if that makes sense.
Literally I got 89K one night, the next night I played two games get 129K and then 183K I beileve. The following night I got 312,000 points. A couple of days later I played the game for 8 hours and got 750K before I stopped and let the machine kill off all my men.
What was interesting was that during my marathon I got my first 1,000,000 in 8 hours 18 minutes, so I was much faster than when I got 750K. And actually my second million was even faster I did it in I believe 8 hours 14 minutes.
Just keep practicing, you start being able to track bullets better with practice, the most difficult rooms are the reflection rooms, and those have become my favorite!
where did you watch? Would love to see it.
This has been answered, I'm working on uploading all the video to youtube, but its about 21 hours worth of video.
Good for you. Hearing that brings a tear to this old hoarder's eye. :') You should tell disjaukifa, I'm sure he'd be pleased that his efforts rekindled your love for his fav game.
Can't wait for the repro stuff btw. Berzerk is another title that I have yet to find, but am willing to stash parts for until I can.
Mike did tell me and it made my day! Especially considering I'm still sore from playing that long. It was grueling, my wrist, shoulders, and left elbow are not happy with me at the moment.
Grant is a good guy and a great Berzerk/Frenzy player. I remember when he was just collecting but got interested in playing Berzerk hardcore and bettering himself. It wasn't long before he got really good at the game. Very happy for him!
As for keeping the restored Berzerk...good! Mine isn't even half as nice, but I love it, as it was one of my most sought-after games. To have one that nice in your possession is definitely a win.
Thank you so much Trickman! I remember when I got my Berzerk, it was my first machine, the speech didn't work and it had other miner issues, mostly being that some of the diagonals didn't work, Trickman and I were swapping high scores for a while in fast bullets.
I then switched to slow bullets and I just fell in love with that game, and I documented all my progress in the game on
www.attackthehumanoid.com. I'm going to start focusing on that game again soon! I might even stream some slow bullets Berzerk tonight!
