Started the beginning steps in restoring my $100 Donkey Kong last night! NOVUS Action 2.0! I could probably do a 3 and go back with 2 again on the Marquee and CPO but I'm content for now.

Short video of the cleaning, hope you enjoy!

Printed the new Instruction card today... Can't decide if I want to go ahead and reprint the CPO or just leave it as is with the burns and such for "Character" lol.

What do you guys think?

Can't see your pix because of work firewalls, but light to medium cig burns will sand out fine. I've done my DK and Popeye CPOs and they look great after.

Hmm okay may need to try this then. What did you use, 220 or finer? Then go back with 3-2-1 Novus?

Pretty sure I started with 300 grit dry to get the bulk of the discoloration out. Then I moved to 600, then 1000, then 1500. Then I used novus 3 with a foam orbital polishing head in my drill, then novus 2 on the same. Then novus 2 on a wool polishing head. I had tips from Nerdtendo on the process, also. It is a long process, but worth it to keep them original, in my opinion. Especially since there's no repro for Popeye and the DK Jr repro is a lighter blue.
