100% all original Tron needs new home

If I could fit this on a plane as a carryon I would make a quick exuse to visit the GM plant down there! $600 is a steal for this! Love the running comentary and pics. Hope to see you around the forums after the Tron is sold.

oh man. shame i don't own a truck or i would be making an 8 hour drive from san antonio.

Dallas, Houston, Monroe, Little Rock, Natchez, Baton Rouge, N.O., Tyler, Vicksburg, Hope, Hot Springs, Kilgore, Longview, Texarkana, Alexandria...

Any of you guys need an all original working Tron? 600 bucks! (And for 100 gas money I'll drive it 2 hours in any direction.)

Cmon, tell me I havent kept this game out of the dumpster for 20 years for nothing. (I'm a jukebox guy not a videogame man but I still think this game is worth saving!)

I can't believe this is still sitting for sale. I'm kinda mad about missing it by that much. This is an awesome piece with history behind it. I think that's what makes it even better.

I do my taxes next weekend if I getback more than I am expecting I'll have my dad in mobile alabama go pick it up or my brother works out there as a shipper for oil rigs

We got bulbs today! And not just any bulbs. We got exact replacements. It takes F15T8s in cool white for the canopy and F15T8 blacklights for the control panel areas.

There is a Tron listed on Ebay right now that has bright bulbs in the control panel areas and it really looks distracting.

I'll post new pics tonight when I get it all lit up! But now I'm going to eat some ribs. Mmmm!

Wow - that to me is what a perfect "old" game should be. No major wear on the sides like so many Trons. I'd wash that with some soap or a nice cleaner and call it done!

Man oh man would I like to have this. If it is still available when my Beachhead kit sells, I am gonna try to get it. Maybe take the bus down, and get a small uhaul, load it up and drive back. There is always a way. lol If I hadnt have just bought a house it would already be here.

dang i don't feel alone anymore. There is another person from Lake Chuck here..........This is very tempting to me also but the wife would put me to the curb........

It has these cool blacklight bulbs in the play area. Check that out.

But changing the bulbs was harder than it looked.

I thought I had the right wrench to get at them all but... nope! In case you were interested it takes one of these.

I'm not going mess with that right now. So instead I decided to play a few games. New high score is 16683. Yeah, I'm gooood. Heh!

The sound is great too! Loud, crisp and clean with no static.

You can tell the monitor is original but considering its age its not bad at all.

I wish I could have gotten it lit up a little better today. Even so, it still looks pretty great! Maybe I'll get the rest of that white paint off tomorrow.

End of line!
End of line!
End of line!

Haha!

Dumont: Yes I'm old. Old enough to remember when the MCP was just a chess program!

How about...

Kevin Flynn: I shouldn't have written in all those tank programs.

The memories! Alright, time to bring in the logic probe.

I came to VAPS to sell this game because, like a new puppy, I want to find it a good home. I am not interested in listing it on Ebay and having it picked up by someone that will trash it and throw in a conversion kit in a year. The world does not need another Mrs Pacman.

I am asking 600. I am open to offers. I accept cash, MO, Paypal and pirate gold. Arrrr!

We are located in Elm Grove, Louisiana which is really just Shreveport/Bossier. I know zero about shipping large items, but I can make myself available for any freight pick ups that you arrange. Also for 100 bucks gas money I am willing to borrow a truck with a Tommy lift and drive it 2 hours (ish) in any direction.

Please let me know if you have any questions or advice. I will gladly take more pics or give you the link to the uploaded really really large image files.

Please, tell your friends. Call your cousin. Help me find this Tron a new home.

Thanks for reading. Forgive me registering in your forums just to make a sale. (But I did find a nice link here to parts for my Rowe CD 100C!)
