The one on Amazon was the pro version. Stern just released the "classic" or home version a week ago, and it's listed at $3799 now on Amazon.. They still have the "pro" version but they raised the price of it.
The "classic" version is lame IMO and would be a waste.. no Magnets at Whiplash and Monger, No war machine kick-back- and these three features really make the game IMO. It would definitely be an easier game to play and for me I think it would be boring.
And of course, a blank coin door and stickers for graphics instead of the nice screen printed art. bleh.

1500+ plays, and i have yet to break 100 million! Within the last two months, i hit 90 million 3 times - i am getting better and will break 100 million soon.
Having a blast with this game still.
Have 3 friends with the game, 2 cant break 100 million, one has top score of 127 million.
The key to breaking 100 million is the Do or die shot - beat all the villians on ONE ball - center shot starts do or die which is a 50 million shot up the middle. The 50 million counts backwards its a timed shot. This REALLY gets your blood going. Leading up to it, you should have 40 - 50 million anyway (from beating all the other stuff) so the OP makes sense....
But i call it luck for someone without experience on the table. Case in point - my Wife. The first week we had the game - 84 million on one ball. Yes - she blindly hit the center shot, had no idea what was going on. Its been 7 months and 100s of games for her now, closest she can get is 79 million.
Oh and i chased that 84 million for 6 months before finally beating it!
Easily Sterns best (Its next to a Tron and used to be next to a SM and LOTR).

Nope, I hate Tron (movies) ....game is pretty fun, but I can't spend that much on a theme I hate.
I didn't sell it "for" anything specficially...but - after about 1500 games, I just wasn't playing it that much anymore, and I'm going through an "early 90's" Williams phase right now...really enjoying Dracula, Fish Tales, Getaway...and they all have similar "simpler" rulesets to Iron Man...but - with way more interesting design and mechanics. So, I figured I had my fun w/ it, and it could go bye-bye to make space for something different. I do have Transformers LE and WOZ coming...so - definitely needed a spot anyway.

I've gotten Do or Die and Jericho on one ball. It's not often, maybe once every 20 games, but it happens. If you get that combination, combined with the rest of your points, 100M+ is pretty likely.
IM is one of those games that vastly changes in difficulty depending on outlanes and tilt settings due to the lack of safe shots.
