One ball, one game. Let the others drain. Got bored.
This was done about 3 weeks after the pin came out.
The game is elementary.
Great sounds though.
Shaker motor makes it fun!

Sorry, this is the only pic he sent.
No video, I'm not a hog on my gameplay. No fame or attention needed.

I do not lie or exagerate.

I would think a pin a little more challenging would be worth $4000+.

Remember, games are just that...there is always someone better out there. :D

And to answer the OP's other question, yes, I have reached the kill screen on DK...

Doesn't matter, my dicks still bigger than yours.
Seriously though, this picture only proves someone got on a scoreboard. It doesn't prove whos it is or how many balls were or were not used.
If that's a for real deal - that's great but honestly who cares if anyone believes you or not.

I had TSPP for a while. I had a game where I was doing amazing. The ball time was close to 10 minutes (which isn't abnormal) and my score was over 125mil! I was so happy. However, after another game or two I realized something was off and I forgot watch switch it was that was broken, but I was getting credit from a switch where I shouldn't have :-(.

I would think a pin a little more challenging would be worth $4000+.

...then why does EVERYONE else who plays this game consider it very challenging, addicting, and fun? No one else has had this boring easy experience on Iron Man.

Something doesn't add up.

It's not unheard of to get 100 million on Iron Man....

...but - first ball, first game? Must have been set on super easy, or the magnets were disabled/broken, a switch was stuck and racking up points, or the back legs were all the way down so it played super slow....otherwise, I still call bullshit.

Easy to do when your playfield is at 1 degree

Hell on modern pins, don't you get 1,000,000 just for launching the ball? :D

I'm sure Billy Mitchell would disagree! It takes more than a picture to convince someone you got that score. You could have had the glass off the whole time for all we know :)

I just wanna say - my point isn't really to bust your balls, but I feel that your experience with the game (whatever it was) left you with an unfortunate opinion of it. Most people who play Iron Man consider it fun, fast, difficult, challenging and addicting. This is the first I've ever heard of 1-ball-boredom. ...that's why I feel so strongly that this game must have been set up "wrong" in some way.

Many 100's of games were played on Pinball Life's Iron Man 1-ball tournament during Expo ...and I think the high score at the end of the day was like 18 million. Other than being steep, I'm pretty sure it was otherwise factory (Monger started w/ MON, for instance) ...and it was hard as fuck!!!!

I'm still not buying it, only because I know the game and the degree of difficulty to obtain such a score. Doesn't mean you didn't do it, but without actual proof of such an amazing feat (IE video or neutral witness, just like Twin galaxies requires), I'm inclined to be skeptical. Nothing personal, if I made a claim of something that you deemed extremely difficult, I would not be offended if you felt the way you did. It is what it is. Proof is golden.

The pic of the 100 million score means nothing only because it would be easy to crank up a score under many circumstances on a privately owned pinball machine.. Again, may be valid, but doesn't prove a one ball skill-filled world-class pinball moment.

The thing about Iron Man, and I've said this before, is the randomness of the magnets. There are also many factors that could affect the ability to score so high, IE drain lane post settings, whether the magnets are turned on or off on whiplash and monger, etc. The side drains are some of the worst I've ever experienced on any pinball machine also.

My nephew would cheat by keeping the key in the door and when the ball would drain he would immediately open the door so the auto ball save function would kick in, and when he'd close the door it would kick out a fresh ball under the same ball #. Needless to say, I turned off the ball save function so he couldn't do that.

If you indeed did get that score with one ball, I hope you went out and played the lottery as soon as you finished. :)

Oh, and I've been to the DK kill screen also, but I have video proof and witnesses. Otherwise, I wouldn't expect anyone to believe it if they didn't want to.

Yeah, i don't think so. How long have you been playing it? What are the settings at? Where are the out posts set at? The magnets on? This game is a killer! Out of the box i set my new Ironman up and had the SD pinball league (40+ players) and the OC pinball league (50+players) over to try it out. And these guys are some of the best in the world. The best score of all of them was in the 20 Million range and it was Jim Belsito, who holds world records for pin scores.

Anyway, it IS possible but not likely, after owning the game a couple months i finally broke the 100 M mark, but it was an intense game, you have to do EVERYTHING with one ball to get all the bonuses.

I agree with 50% with this. I doubt the first statement is true...:D

Second statement, right on the money!
It's fun to get everyone riled up. The story, the score, yep, they're true. Does anyone believe it? Who cares? I don't.

Integrity has taken me far in life. Why would I compromise myself with a claim that didn't happen?

Just fun to mess with someone who drops $4000 on a game in this economy.

Love the reactions! Keep firing!

Eh,high scores are big "Oh look at me! Look how awesome I am! Please show me some attention!" fests anyway. You could have said that you got 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 using your left testicle as the ball and I'd have been like....meh,okay.I'm not here to credit or discredit anyone, but the only scores I give a crap about are sports, credit, and test.:)

LOL....Wait, I was really enjoying my Iron Man until this thread....now I realize I was wrong to enjoy this game every day for months and I wish I had my $4000 back....I totally forgot about that whole economy thing! What's wrong with me spending my money so unwisely!?!? Why can't I just get 100m on one ball so I can realize how boring the game truly is...and then I'd have money to afford food and electricity and whatnot.

Never known anyone to embellish a score, ever. Congrats on your accomplishment.

Love it! Nothing like getting all excited that someone can put up a score!

Take it for what it's worth, your opinion means zero to me. Mine should be the same for you.

Playground rules are in effect. The classic "im not trying to show off but LOOK AT ME!" If no one bought pins in this economy it would be over. And not everyone is being effected, company I work for is up 40 percent this year. So mind your business.

Lol, just busting your balls.

It's nothing personal, if my brother came over and did it without me seeing, I'd be skeptical also. The only thing that matters is that you had an incredible game, certainly you could see how such an amazing task would be questioned by others who are gamers also. When most people that play my IM can barely break 10 mil in an entire game, and lifetime pinball players that compete can only break 50-60 mil in most games (albeit, with knowing the rules and gameplay and what to avoid, what to hit to make the most points)... you see what I'm saying here?

LOL. No worries.

Anyone who plays pin in AZ knows whose house this was at. I am not in the pin scene too much, love to play though.

My buddy says he has people at the house and they all ask how that score was possible. His anwer? Ah, just some video game guy....
