I have a 10 yard fight in a Crazy Climber Cabinet that is going to be pulled out. It sounds like this game is pretty rare and I have kind of grown to like it. I have the bezel, marquee, and working board set.

My question is this: "Did this game have an original cabinet or just a standard Taito cabinet? What Taito cabinet would work well for running it that would be cheap if there is no dedicated Cabinet?"

My current Crazy Climber cabinet seems like a waste for the game and I have all the parts to convert this back to an original CC.

Yes, 10-yd Fight had an original cabinet. I have one in storage that I plan to restore at some point...

It's not rare at all.

But I like it, too. I'm hoping it makes it into ArcadeSD someday...

Sports games just don't age very well for the most part. Every year or two a new title simulating the same sport will come along with better graphics and a better simulation on more powerful hardware and thus will make the old game look shoddy by comparison.

You don't see many of them in collector's gamerooms because most people just don't seem to want them. Thus collectors buy them to convert them or non-collectors end up with them and thus you don't see them here.

The same thing exists with the console collectors as well. Go look at any bin full of loose Sega Genesis cartridges and notice how 80 percent of the bin is going to Madden, NHL 94 and the like.
