Was the only soul in this building that was willing to take this 650 pound beast of an awesome game.. walked out there only paying $1.16. always wanted one of these. Game wouldnt boot up in the building, just had a gray screen split half and half. Got it home, saw it was missing the switching supply, dropped one in, tested good voltage, then found all the red wires go to 5V from another thread here, all plugged in, PCB light up then... same screen as when the PCB had NO power. Any suggestions? Do i have a dead PCB?

best price ever!
Where was this auction of people that let this go for a buck?!
Des moines iowa.. was an auction of about 600 games, 100 or so people, cheap stuff was going all day. But i am super happy with my buy!! When this came up on the block you could hear crickets chirping.. let it go all the way down to 20 bucks, nobody wanted it, I yelled $1, auctioneer tried to get a $2 bid, still nobody.. whole situation was funny.. not complaining at all though.

Been reading the manual online, i found out that the blinking LEDS on the PCB mean something. Crazy, those things exist for a reason. My run and OTACK leds are blinking almost at the same time but slightly offset. Basically all that means right now is the 68010 processor cannot run. I dont like the sound of that, but there are combinations of dipswitch settings that will test each component of the board, and will use the leds to tell me what part is bad. Gonna head back out to where its stored in the next few days and dick around with that until I figure something out.

Wow! I thought there was some big Iowa auction(s) last year(s) that had everything way too expensive. So maybe lots of people stopped going?

Do you have any other info on what sold for a good deal?
Sad I missed it...

Yeah, there was more games this year, and less people. 2 player gauntlet in great shape and working went for 500 i think.. saw a dedicated original simpsons go for 600, few old em shooting games in BEAUTIFUL shape 200 each, nintendo super system, $800 completely working. Nothing crazy cheap like mine, but otherwise good deals all day. Multicades though we're going for crazy stupid ammounts. Just a lot of average joes at that auction.
