NEW ЯRcadeRadio Podcast!

ЯRcadeRadio Episode 8

ЯRcadeRadio is super psyched to have had Todd Tucky of TNT Amusements on the show!

As many of you know, Todd has been a big contributor to the hobby and has been active on KLOV for many years. He's got some great stories to tell on this episode including how and when he began his game routes in 79. He even sets the WayBackMachine to the early 70s and tells a story about when he ACTUALLY got into selling games.

Many of you may or may not know--but Todd is a film buff, film collector, and has produced over 1200 videos on YouTube. He shares stories (and links), talks about some rare arcade titles he's owned, and his cabaret arcade collection. Have a listen to this extended show that we recorded last Wednesday!

I think we may need to rename "The RcadeNews..." to the "Negative News with Dan Reed" I also think it's funny that every single time we ask Dan about what he's working on he says "Nothing" or "Nothing much" and then follows it up with a story of what he's working on.

I have been listening, and enjoying it.

Excellent! We enjoy bringing guests on the show and having conversations with them. I've got a couple more lined up that I think will be great.

And if anyone in the KLOVerse has a recommendation for a guest, feel free to email or call us. And you can always drop me a PM here with suggestions too.

Cheers.

so around the 1:00 hour mark, todd is explaining how he had to sell arcade games in his vree driveway (philly) in august 1984,
and his father took 2 slides of 50-60 games that todd mentions they are on his pinball expo video of his early beginnings lecture.

i didn't see the link to this below the video, can you link this please? thanks!

Yeah, he didn't call it out on the show. He mentioned that it was in one of his Pinball Expo vids. I scanned through one and didn't see it. I'll reach out to him.

This podcast is enjoyable and thanks for doing it gents.

If you haven't listened yet, think mild-mannered midwestern folks gently speaking about something that is interesting, ARCADES!!

LoL. Thanks! Don't forget our one Southern host: Mark Shields! (And his Jimmy Carter impression is unmatched.) And our guests are from all over! Pennsylvania, Florida, Iowa, Wisconsin, Houston... (But yes, mainly the Midwest thus far.)

Mark who?

Next week, I'll be talking hot dish recipes.

Can you cover the appropriate use of peas in hot dishes and maybe something about cold pasta fruit salads? You know, 'Frog Eye Salad' or whatever it's called?

thanks for posting them...I so wish I had more...I have one slide showing 40 pinball machine bodies piled in my truck still complete, to take to the dum-p...cost be $5 each to throw them away...this was years ago of course...I kept the heads with the boards and glasses...buy sadly, no one wanted them and I had to move out of a Public Storage area...thats what used to happen back then! I have to find that slide!
