I stumbled across advice on here about those adapters that seems strange but it really helped clear up the picture a lot, it was to connect a spare VGA cable to the VGA input. For some reason it helps.

Yes, I emailed them today to ask for it. They have sent me some manuals in the past but not for model H. I expect they will reply eventually but thought maybe someone on here had one handy so I could look at it today.

Mine was doing that too when I bought it. I disconnected and reconnected the ribbon cables and it worked fine after that.
