Could've been, I was also thinking previous owner(s) were thinking of making it a T&F ? The monitor mounting shelf is in the same exact spot as a T&F cabinet, it would be easy to put a horizontal monitor in there. But who knows....it's cheap if anyone wants to tackle it as a project.
