    Major Havoc ics

I'm looking to buy a couple replacement chips for 12A/B & 12D which are labelled HI3-201-5. I'm having problems tracking some down. There's a couple on eBay from overseas that I don't really trust... Found a couple places in the UK that seem reputable but they don't ship to the USA. Anyone...

Eprom programmer top max or chip max2

I think the Topmax 1 software updates ended a long time ago but the Topmax 2 is still being updated (at least thats what the lady at eetools told me 😁) I'm not too concerned about that unless they're still fixing bugs or doing something with the updates I can't live without... Just curious...

Eprom programmer top max or chip max2

Thought I would bump this instead of starting a new thread.. @shoestring Will the Topmax 1 program all the bipolar proms the Topmax 2 will? I know it has a parallel port but besides that will they program all the same old stuff my Needham's can't?

6809 Pod Repro Project (Fluke 9010A)

So I know this has all been discussed but I just want to double check since this is all new to me... The 6502, 6809 & Z80 take 5 protection modules each? And if I order from Jerry I need to request 1 to be the 100/700 (The A1 on the 6809)? And, besides the protection modules everything is...

    Quick test rig questions

Quick question, if I used the 2 diode method in your link do I just run the negative side to field-ground/chassis after the 2nd diode?

Has anyone removed their Tron suitcase when using the switcher adapter?

Has anyone first hand done this? I've found a couple posts on it but not alot of info.. My suitcase is rusty and tired and I'd love to never see it again lol. From what I understand I need to use the ISO for the monitor, but that's basically it. I've also read that I may need to add some large...

Could someone with a Missile Command pcb do me a quick favor?

Could someone tell me if there should be continuity between two legs of the 2 larger capacitors (C9/C10) that are right next to each other? Thanks in advance

    Quick test rig questions

Thank you! That's what I was looking for! Something super simple lol I've been poking around and I see some diagrams have capacitors.. Do you think one is needed or just a 1 resistor/2 diode setup like you mentioned? And I guess as long as the resistor is around 68k-100k I'm good? Is higher or...

    Quick test rig questions

Ok. So the neg side of the led I would run to a common ground then the pos side I'd run to the fuse but I should put a resistor between the led and fuse to limit current some?

    Quick test rig questions

Have 2 quick questions. I'm slowly building a pcb bench tester.. I'm using an atari power brick. I'd like to run a small panel light/led on the back side of each fuse on the brick so if one pops I'll know right away. As long as the leds are rated for the voltage, can I just them hook up...
