Getting a ‘No hardware serial number’ error when initializing/checking hardware during the boot process. Was working fine some time ago. Anyone knows if this is just a factory reset that’s needed? Any input is appreciated. Thanks

Do I have bad caps in the audio section? I have a GT 2K that starts off with all sounds when the board is cold and first turned on. Minutes later, the sounds start getting muffled and start cutting off. Eventually some sounds disappear and others stay without issues. I’ve switched power...

Can anyone provide the correct roms to switch it back?

Looks like I might have one of the retokits that disabled the shifter. The switch test screen doesn’t even have the option to test the shifter. See attached picture. Does this confirm it?

Whenever I select a course upon starting, I’m unable to choose between Automatic and Manual transmission, as the game instead cuts straight to the car select screen and it’s always on automatic. Is there a setting that I’m not seeing?

I've not taken the gun apart yet so I don't have any idea. I just did a quick search here to find out if these were light guns sensors or used potentiometers.

Monitor worked fine for several weeks, but now I have a new problem. I was playing the game last night and all of a sudden the picture turned into a thin line down the middle of the monitor. The monitor is vertically installed. What the heck happened? I'm guessing a transistor or a cap went...

Also, is it possible to use a K4900 chassis as a replacement?? The 25K5501 chassis looks identical to the K4900. Both use the same voltage regular, flyback, HOT, caps (maybe a few are different), etc Maybe I can use the K5501 neck board with the K4900 chassis. The neck board is where I see...
