    720 CPU Issue.

All resistors on those lines check as good? It's got to be something small/simple. He's already tried a bunch. Might end up a head scratcher. I still have 2 video boards with a graphic glitch (same on both boards), but I haven't been able to track it down yet. They play 100% perfect, but...

    720 CPU Issue.

Still thinking about this issue. Have you tested your TMS chip (7D) and LS273 (8D), and of course all lines going to an from? I'm assuming you have, but throwing it out there.

    720 CPU Issue.

Do your dip switches work? I was going to suggest swapping pokeys, but seems like you've tried swapping all you could. Have you gone thru the game sounds in the self-test? I know it shows way more than it should, but does it repeat the sounds, and the counter keeps counting? Are all game...

    Cinematronics Strike Zone Tag Board

I think I have this figured out. Since it says "stat keys", I'm thinking that a player could buy a key that acted as a memory card of sorts so that they could take their stats with them from game to game, and up their stats as well. Just a hunch, though I've never heard of such a thing on an...

    Cinematronics Strike Zone Tag Board

I got this Strike Zone in a converted Space Duel for super cheap. The only thing wrong was that it needed a new switching ps. However, I went ahead and picked up a second fully working and populated control panel for it, since the bats aren't easy to find. The thing is, this second cp has an...

    The un-degaussable monitor

After playing with this a bit, I was able to get it to basically the same state each time I degaussed with my external coil, though still discolored in a large portion of the screen (more orange than red). No chevron magnets by the way. I then decided to move some of the convergence rings, and...

    The un-degaussable monitor

Is a "chevron" magnet just a regular convergence strip magnet? It has the normal metal frame on each side of the monitor, but the only speakers near it are the ones in the cabinet itself. I'll look into this, as it's beyond my knowledge at the moment. Does it matter that I don't have the...

    The un-degaussable monitor

Yeah, I have one, it's 13" in diameter, and should be plenty big enough for this 26" monitor. Maybe I need the factory OEM one for my monitor?

    The un-degaussable monitor

I have been trying to degauss a monitor for 2 years now. Yep, you read that correctly...2 years. The monitor is a Nanao MS8-26su, and my coil is 13" in diameter. I have read a ton of tips on how to degauss, and watched videos, but my monitor will NOT degauss, and then STAY corrected. The...

    APB Repair

Make sure your Audio board is working correctly. The game will not boot without the correct voltages being supplied thru it.

Are Millipede cabinets wired with an Iso Trans?

I want to replace the monitor in my Millipede (Matsushita 19"), but am unsure whether or not the original PS includes an Iso Trans for my replacement. Can anyone chime in really quick? Thanks.

    720 arcade cooling fan necessary?

I had the exact same issue of random resets on one I had years ago. Turned out it was a short in one of the power wires going the video board. It took me months to figure out, as I was doing all of the other normal fixes required to solve the problem (headers, connectors). And it was...

    720 Attract Issue / System 2 Testing

You need the sound board hooked up to provide all of the correct voltages (or supply from other source).

    720 Attract Issue / System 2 Testing

Any strange issues while playing a game? If I understood correctly, you couldn't choose your difficulty level, but could play.

720 Dual Coupler Sensor Board Repair Log

THIS IS NOT CORRECT! As I've mentioned in my thread of a new repro, I have a board running 2 sensors, both Omron. How casn that be, if it doesn't work? Please don't give out the WRONG information to people. I did the work, you did not. Thanks. See thread for pics and proof...

    Popeye pcb issue... Missing floors

Replace the chip socket? Perhaps the chip you tried that gave some result had firmer pins that worked better in the socket than the chip that didn't give a result. It makes sense since it's all tied to same chip or socket.

Bypassing Atari system 2 Video pcb jumper pins (720)

The next pics show what I get when powered up. This is the same way it looked before I tried to fix the jumpers. My fixes made no difference, but not sure where I went wrong here. Really just trying to figure out where I went wrong. I followed the traces several times, but I...

Bypassing Atari system 2 Video pcb jumper pins (720)

Bypassing Atari system 2 Video pcb jumper pins (720) This will take a couple of posts, but I'm working on getting a 720 video pcb up and running, but it looks like it's stuck on the wrong setting for the chips. The board has 3 jumper sections that need to be set on 512 chips, even though the...
