I've seen it before and my multipede kit went tits up. I ordered a new one. Not saying that is what is causing your issue but it looks the same as mine. I replaced sockets etc before ordering a new kit as well.

Make sure the volume POT and the other 4 pin molex connector isn't swapped by accident.

I like using wick and sometimes it works for me better than my Hakko desolderer. Not bad to have some on hand. Can't remember the brand I have right now but I can check later. I know it has flux in it.

Finally got around to fixing this. Turned out to be a bad 2149 at 4P. I had some 2114 replacements that were either bad or too slow and so the problem got worse after socketing that location. I found a faster 2114 and it fixed the game. @Atari Force , you were spot on. Thanks!

The screws for the handles are 10-32 1/2" button head.

Ok, got the wiring all fixed up and it's playing nicely! I was hoping y'all could tell me what size the button head machine screws are that connect the controller halves to the controller stem? The manual doesn't list them but list 10-32 3/8 for the weapon's van screws. Are they the same...

Damn pcb works but gets extremely hot during play. Voltages are good. Something must be shorted? I am worried about the quad pokey which gets really hot. This can't be normal

I have an issue with the character sprites having lines through them. Does anyone know which section of the schematics are responsible for this? I have linked the schematics below as well as a video of what is happening. I have checked voltages and verified the ROMs. Thanks for the help...

I'll have to check when I get home why the steering wheel spins. Then, I'll check the fuse, replace big blue, do the sense mod, cap kit, install a switcher and throw in an LCD. That should fixer right up.
