Hopefully they only hacked the 5VDC lines and you can put that back together easily. Mine had a similar hack for 5VDC and I was able to splice the lines back together and fix the linear using that kit.

I am surprised by the differences. Are you sure your original is OEM? I know my Robo has a repro from either AS or ArcadeRenovations from 14 or so years ago and it looks spot on to your original photos.

Great to hear! If you want a couple of machine sockets for the NVRAM module, let me know your address via PM and I'll drop them in the mail. I bought 10 when I only needed 2 :D The original sockets work but aren't great for inserting the round pins into.

It's amazing how much of a sponge these Taito cabinets are. My first Qix had bubbles on the sides from someone getting it wet.

Did the repro qix harness also include a new video harness? I'm getting some mild waviness that I can't capture on the phone but it moves just enough to notice. All my grounds are hooked up. When I hook up the TPG to the G07, it's rock solid. The G07 has a freshly rebuilt chassis but the old one...

One other thing I noticed was the positioning of the lights. They aren't in a straight line on Qix (see pic). I just replaced all the 44 bulbs someone put in with LED 47 equivalents (amazon.com/gp/product/B098N4M3CN) in warm white for cooler temps behind the marquee in hope of curbing further...

The bulbs clamp on to the monitor frame.

Thank You for the replies and link to the album! If I am able to pull the cab out more, I'll try to get more pics of the sides and any labels. As it was, the cab was gutted so I wasn't able to tell what it might have been. The sides are starting to delaminate so not sure how salvageable it is...

I was in a warehouse last week and couldn't pull this cabinet all the way out. Sitting next to an omega race I hope will come home with me soon. The unknown cabinet has a very smooth finish almost like gloss laminate.

Got my grommets today. My frogger joystick had so much slop even with a new AS grommet, I had replaced it with a Pac Pro stick with a long shaft to approximate the original. The new grommet has 0 slop and the stick feels great! Time for it to go back home :D Some unscientific video proof...
