  1. Pinball involved in Helene flood

What game? As most have said, its probably shot. Best case would have been getting it opened up and dried out by now. Rust, oxidation and mold are already setting in. Also, as others have said, there are still probably a lot of salvageable parts if nothing else.
  2. EM play field clear coat after magic eraser or wax and play

I've done probably 20 or so Gottlieb 70's em's all with ME and 91%. I've scrubbed and touched up paint, and have yet to clearcoat a playfield. Doesn't mean its right, but I've been very happy with the results. I've used a few different waxes also. My favorite combo is Meguiars Cleaner wax paste...
  3. Options for EM backglass

Try Mayfair Amusements. He has loads of backglasses. https://mayfairamusement.com/ The guy in France I think you are referring to is Coos in Holland? https://www.coos.net/bingo_e/Backglasses.html There is also a guy in Washington state that has done backglasses by printing on a film and...
  4. Card Whiz

Does the scoring step up to the 10,000 reel after 9,000? Is it only on P1?
  5. Card Whiz

I've got a 4 player Royal Flush torn down right now. Looking at the RF schematics for the L relay, there are a few score motor switches that are in line with the L relay. I'd have a look at those. Also, have you clean all the jones plugs on the motor board and back box?
  6. Williams/United Strike Zone Shuffle Bowling

My neighbor has one of these that I looked at for him a few months back. I ended up referring him to someone that knows more about these. Not sure if he ever got it running. I just looked at the pics I took and he didn't have a roller bearing on his cam switch either. The relay next to the motor...
  7. Williams Shuffle Alley issues

So board repairs to start. I know nothing about SS games. I've only dealt with EM. I've seen posts on different aftermarket boards. Is that a possible option?
  8. Williams Shuffle Alley issues

Any ideas on what I should do next?
  9. Williams Shuffle Alley issues

I went back to the machine tonight. The reset motor is different than what is posted above. I've attached a few photos. The relay is energized, keeping the motor running. I put a stick between the contacts and the motor stopped. This motor has 2 cams, with detents. Only one cam has 2 switches...
  10. Williams Shuffle Alley issues

I'm going to look for a video on it. Its different than my EM shuffle. I may run over there tomorrow afternoon and have a good look at the reset motor. I was concerned it might be a board problem. I don't like boards
  11. Williams Shuffle Alley issues

Great.. Thanks. I'll have a look at that area this weekend. They did just move the machine so its possible something there got banged up. If I can't find anything that resolves it, I'll get some pics of the setup. At least now I have a spot to start looking.
  12. Williams Shuffle Alley issues

Just looked at the pics I took and doesn't appear that I took a picture of the reset motor. Here is a quick video of whats happening with the game. Williams pin resetting
  13. Williams Shuffle Alley issues

A neighbor has Big Strike shuffle alleys with some issues. I know nothing about SS games, so not sure I want to get involved, but figured I'd try to help him out. I am much more familiar with EM machines. He had 2 of the player score displays pulled out because he said they weren't working. Not...
  14. 1971 Klondike Pinball small problem

  15. Gottlieb Jungle Queen help

Thanks.. I had a few things like that on this game. Not sure if the guy I got it from was the genius or where he got it from. He told me it worked before he replaced the rubber and a few lights . How he could say that with a straight face is impressive. I like the challenge though.
  16. Gottlieb Jungle Queen help

Thanks.. It was more than stuck. Someone took it apart and put it back together 180 degrees out. When I did my initial assessment and cleaning of the game, I noticed the shoes where no where near the rivets.. Just couldn't imagine how it could have been that messed up. The 2 pins that are...
  17. Gottlieb Jungle Queen help

I just picked up a roached Jungle Queen. Its complete but I think there is more paint missing on the playfield than still on there. I still want to make it playable, more for the learning experience. I was told the machine worked until the guy changed the rubbers. No way that was possible. He...
  18. Zaccaria Ten Stars

I have an opportunity to pick up a Zaccaria Ten Stars machine that is in real nice shape. Has some mechanical issues, but playfield looks brand new. I'm not great with EM games, so I'm a bit concerned about a foreign machine thats not working. Any idea on what they are worth? I can't seem to...
  19. Aces and Kings - value

Thanks for the info and explanation Pat.. I'm glad to hear the mechanicals are fairly solid. I was told the game was in this house for about 30 years or maybe more. Not sure of the full story. I saw a few pics and it looks to be in good shape. I've got a good idea on the price now.. Interesting...
  20. Aces and Kings - value

No problem.. The first and only EM I've worked on is my Gottlieb Cleopatra... Probably not a good choice to get feet wet in the world of EM, but it did help me become more comfortable working on them. I wish I came across another Gottlieb, but this one is probably going to fall into my lap for...
