    Monitor power up with water

    I wash monitor chassis all the time. I use compressed air and blow out every drop of water from every angle until dry. You need a decent sized compressor - it usually takes 5+ minutes and you need real CFM/air to blow it all out.... I've had no issues powering on a board after this...

    @Charles Kline I helped a friend with MH that built a board and had all white graphics like that.. RAM@12J, 12K was the issue. They were counterfeit.

    hmm.. I generally find these useless for home use - I generally like the 'gun' style.. But I'm going to put this on a gift list.. for arcade work. this may be more useful. :)

    LM305 - the chip lifter I use has a small notch in it.. That little notch helps position that one last leg for everything.. it can reach in and guide the pin to the hole..
