Converted Donkey Kong to Mario bros.

Add your location to your account info - maybe there’s someone local who would help you with a tube test or rejuvenation.

    Centipede Cabaret Qs

I have you covered with a fully shopped and tested PCB if you decide to bring it back to centipede. Also have an AR-ii

    Centipede Cabaret Qs

Someone already converted it, so no harm in keeping it a Sky Shark. But every arcade needs a centipede so you gotta get one somehow ... :-)

    Pole Position #2: I knew better. 😫

Check out visualping or an equivalent tool. It’ll alert you when a page has changed (look for a change to the words “out of stock”).

    New Project: Tetris Cabaret

It did stand out to me as well. But it’s cool you do this stuff and take chances …. sometimes they work, sometimes not so much.

    Cocktail cabinet glass top question.

Be sure to be kind to yourself and get a buffer. Doing that by hand would suuuuck.

    Cocktail cabinet glass top question.

Not what you want to hear but, if you are going to all the effort to mask it off and paint it then remove the original paint. You can get it looking like new. I did that on my Gyruss. I taped on the topside to “mark” where the paint went, then used a razor blade to scrape off the paint (or...

    Pengo Color Code

They really need those to be untethered. You could then do it in the parking lot and save a ton of hassle.

    Pengo Color Code

I think the only way to be mostly close is to have it computer color matched. I took a back door in to Ace Hardware once to get a good scan. 😂

    Light Outrun Restoration

@parism will be your best source for outrun info. He’s the guru. There is someone called ColinD on UKVac who made a kit for cables to allow you to run the boards opened up. The pic shows many of the parts but not everything.

Chalky paint covering up what might be a relatively mint Ms pacman side art.

I would be spending way too much time trying to figure out how to weather that pink so it matches the condition of the rest. But i think it looks good!

    A Refreshing, Ice Cold Beer

This is a great one to have. Visitors play this more than any other in my arcade. These definitely take some time to adjust so they are consistent. Looks like the machine plays tight. Perfect. Awesome job refreshing it!

    Beyond bondo?

As mentioned below, using dowels is about as good as biscuits. You can get a drill jig to make the holes parallel to the surface. Just be careful to line up the holes in the two pieces. But it’s way cheaper to get those tools than a biscuit cutter. Unless you can borrow one 😄

    Restoring Donkey Kong Jr Cabinet

I guess that means full repaint, not spot painting. Assuming so, I don’t see why you’d try to salvage as much of the side as you can. Cut back to solid wood, glue in a new piece. It seems like more work but it’s not assuming you have the tool and skill - or a friend who does. I know you were...

    Restoring Donkey Kong Jr Cabinet

How are you planning to refinish the orange? Touch up or fully redo the sides?

Yikes! Easiest way to fix this hole?

I’d cut the replacement piece, then use it to scribe my cut lines on the door. Stay inside that line when you cut and you should have a good fit … might even need to file/sand the cut hole a touch larger. Gorilla glue will get the job done even on particle board.
