I ended up manually documenting this and getting APAR to make a cap kit. He should have it available. No manual ever found.

I’ve read over and over that G07s tend to not be perfect swaps. Even when you find a compatible tube, the adjustments never make it quite as good as original. I’ve never done a G07 swap so can’t comment directly.

They are out there. Just gotta do some research. And if it comes to it, swap the yoke too.

Holy sh!tballs, you are right! I couldn't see the connector on the underside back board from where I've been working on the game. I moved the connector and got an image. This monitor needs pots so I can't get it dialed in perfectly, but I'm back on track with this. To answer your question...

No luck. It looks the same. Red screen (ignore the gray band, that's a refresh incompatibility with my phone camera). This monitor was dialed in with a pattern generator so it shouldn't have a red imbalance. I could understand a sync issue but no change when I try those controls. I'll need...

I'm with you except it looks like Paris's picture shows white to the sync pins and white/blue to ground. That's backward to what mecha says (and what I've seen in other posts). I'm going with white to the 4th position on the 6 pin and then jumpering blue/white to the second and third pins on...

Can someone confirm how these video connections should be on this G07 in an Outrun. The game had no monitor, this one works with a pattern generator. But plugging it in as-is produces no picture. I'm guessing I have sync wrong but not sure what to change since I also don't see a ground wire...

I picked up a dead G07 for future need. Well, that need arrived so I tried resurrecting it. Needed a HOT, flyback and I did a cap kit. It kept blowing F901 … to the point that I added fuse clips to make my troubleshooting life easier. After trying many things, I came across this thread...

This 8 year old tidbit of info helped me score a tube today. Zenith TV SY1931SG with that same tube number. Replacing this jacked up 4600 tube.

Gotta believe people buy a repair tool primarily for its features, not its repairability. Having all three colors easily adjustable is valuable. Worrying about a repair that might never be needed takes a back seat. My two cents.

Looks like you chose 20% caps. Don't the better kits have tighter tolerance caps? 10 or 5%??
