    K4600 c625 cap keeps bulging

I believe I found the problem. R634 is completely open and has the battle scars to prove it. It's supposed to be a 2.2 ohm resistor and is in line with the bulging cap. I'll fire it up tomorrow night and report back

    K4600 c625 cap keeps bulging

When I got it the screen had full max brightness and the C625 capacitor with bulging. I gave it a full cap kit and the monitor looked great for a couple hours and then it got brighter and brighter and brighter as that c625 capacitor started bulging again. And I replaced the capacitor again and...

    Horizontal collapse k7400 *solved*

Thanks so much MKL. You are truly awesome. I didn't have continuity from anode of d707 to the other pin of c722 (width cap). I examined L701 and it had broken solder joints connecting the wire to the legs. I now have full deflection and a working chassis. Many thanks.

R760 and r765 are not populated on the K7400 chassis. I checked q703 and it tests good, same with the power supply chip..... No change with new q703

    Horizontal collapse k7400 *solved*

Hey guys. I have horizontal collapse on a k7400 chassis. The only component I have found faulty was an open r104. I replaced it and I still have horizontal collapse. I also gave a it a full capkit and that didn't help either. My b+ is perfect at 117. The flyback does not energize the tube...

Anybody have any idea what this goes to? I have two of them. A Google search brought up nothing based on that identification number 2 ohms horizontal 52 ohms vertica Disco tube maybe?

I didnt wanna say you're being OCD so I'm glad you said it.

Tech Help Needed -- K4900 Slight Horizontal "Pin Cushion"

I'm still perfectly ok with that picture. As I said earlier, if caps don't fix it; don't worry about it

Tech Help Needed -- K4900 Slight Horizontal "Pin Cushion"

If a cap kit doesn't fix it, then I personally wouldn't worry about it. I can't even see the issue even though you have an arrow pointing right at it.

    Monitor identification needed

I choose option 1. Just leave the old one on there as well since it's still somewhat intact

    Monitor identification needed

Yes. That's just a plastic guide. They age and get brittle and break off.
