tested the roms by running them through romident, and it came back with the correct checksum. Attached them if anyone cares. I'll check out those latches and muxes. Hopefully, I will find something.

Got the test rom in. Not sure if boot up is correct. The end message notes ram is ok but has a cryptic message under it. Going to retest after I pop in a new gate.

I wrote that wrong. I shorted ic8 pin2 to pin3 not ic9. So yes, I think ic8 needs to be replaced since pin 3 is the output of the gate. I suspect there is more that is bad so while I wait for the ic to come in, I'll give the test rom a whirl.

Well monitors been on for over 30 mins and hasn't shut down yet. Hv rose to 19v and its staying there. I believe its fully warmed up. I can adjust to 19.5v later. Could it have really been that transformer lead. Man I should have bee flexing that board with my plastic stick to start!

I already replaced the filter caps and all the electrolytics on HV. I do wish I had another 6100 to swap parts with but I'm a poor raster guy.
