I doubt all of these have failed. The 5v is dialed in just right at the edge connector. Any ideas what the problem may be?

It was high at around 5.2v and when I tried to lower it the voltage would completely drop out. Replaced the power supply and it's now at a happy 5.01v on the board.

After you play either game, and die, the screen goes black. Game plays fine the whole time. It's only when you completely die that this problem happens. It has a flash drive. I'm wondering what might be causing this to happen.

I just fixed one with the exact same freeze issue. I replaced the power connector (J8) to the board and re-seated/cleaned all the socketed chips. Works like a champ now.

I'm wanting to change my MKII to REV 3.1. I have new ROMs and a burner. I downloaded the files from COOLROMS and I don't see the ROMs I need to write. I need U6-U13 but none of the ROMs in the file I downloaded are titled that. I'm new to writing ROMs so please excuse my lack of knowledge on...

It was indeed the mother board. Ordered a working replacement mother board and Tekken is now back in action. Would still like to find someone that can fix my old mother board.

Shoot, I was hoping to just be able to plug and play. Do I need the I/O board even though this JAMMA edge connector doesn't handle any of the video?

In the manual is shows that I can change the sync settings if the game is going in a JVS cabinet. Tekken 5 is sort of a mix between JAMMA standard and JVS. How can I trick it so that it will let me change the settings? Do I just need to run power through J104 instead of the edge connector?

That all went way over my head. Haha. I don't really know much about board repair. Does it need to be sent out or is it something I can find and fix myself? I've replaced chips and sockets before. That's not a problem. I would just need to know what to replace and what to replace it with.

I've tried the basics. Made sure I had good +5 Cleaned and reseated chips Cleaned edge connector.

If the monitor was bad I should still be able to hear the game playing right? I can leave it on for 10 minutes and I get nothing.

Does anyone fix these systems? My Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection just has a black screen. It worked great for years. I've tried several other supposedly compatible DVD drives but I still can't get it to boot up. Also, all voltages are good.

Think about it this way. When you turn off the game does the monitor and marquee light turn off? If you tap into the monitor AC or the marquee light AC, when those are off your power supply is off. If they aren't getting power neither is your power supply.
