problem solved I thought you had to run 5 volts from the power supply to light the LEDS BUT all I needed was pins 26 on the jamma adapter plus ground there flashing and working now.

just did the same thing here pin 9 red output 5 volts to both pots its only a single wire out of your molex if your making the adapter to plug your yoke in direct so you must solder two wires off of that single wire and one goes to 1 DOWN the other goes to 1 LEFT then your pin 5 pitch goes to 1...
