Honestly, I’d send the board out. You don’t want to just change chips for the sake of it. You can cause more issues.

The frequency should match what the schematic say on the scope. But they are probably fine.

I was looking at the wrong part of the schematic. C5 may have a clock that sounds strange on the logic probe as that one is 3Khz. C4 should have clock on 11,12,13,14

Should have a clock on pin 2 at all those chips. Check continuity between all three of those chips to fit into.

I've had that same graphic issue and I think it was a bad RIP carryout on one of the 191 position counter that fixed it. I may be mistaken.

I was able to get it to boot up by replacing F7, the daughter board needs work to get the game to fully run. I’ll returning the board set so he can continue with the rest of the diagnosis. Daughter board needs some love to make it boot and run reliably.

Even inverted, glitch is still there.

No they aren't off brand. I didn't induce this glitch by replacing anything. Glitch was always there.

Already replaced those.

It is able to be updated by the user. I find it a bit complicated but I can do it.

That is one of my biggest pet peeves. Never seeing a solution. Can't tell you how many times I've searched threads and see one that comes up with what seems like the issue I have. Scrolling though it just see it drops off to nothing from the OP as to what they found if anything.

I need to update mine as well. I tested a 74166 in it that I know is bad, but it said it was a good chip. Not sure why it said that. My comparator said it had a bad output on pin 13 and my other tester also said it failed.
