Incredible Technologies Games on a LCD

On the IO board I think there's dip switches that control the resolution that the game outputs? And then the settings are probably different between games and sub versions. I know that the later Golden Tee games are like that for sure. So probably what works for one game is outputting a...

    Cringe worthy history Channel restoration.

I think there's a few different manufacturers of "z back" arcade cabinets. but yes I believe you're right the one pictured is made by 3-Koam and is known as the "Red Angle" and does have a 25" monitor. The Flyer below shows a Blue Angle with a cut corner control panel and a Red Angle with...

    CAX in the news.

That was my Zaxxon but I sold it at Captain's. So it probably won't be making a return trip. I'm passing the torch on to another gremlin collector. Hopefully one appears in 2023.

Street Fighter 3 Third Strike NO CD ?

As of right now if the battery dies and the original capcom keys are lost there is no publicly known way to put the keys back onto the cartridge. Capcom did have machines/tools to do this, but they're not available to the public. There used to be a guy in asia who would flash the asia 3s keys...

I wanna put a NEW PCB in my new Donkey Kong but everyone tells me Nintendo will hunt me down 😢

New parts can fail too. I understand the need to guarantee you can play your favorite game. I have 4 or 5 copies of 3rd Strike I hoarded, which should get me through my lifetime. Everything needs maintenance to last a long time.

I wanna put a NEW PCB in my new Donkey Kong but everyone tells me Nintendo will hunt me down 😢

20 years is old, lol... that's not even pre-internet. that's not even pre Y2K. I am basically ancient on this scale. regarding broken monitors being thrown away... you realize that it's usually less than $20 in parts to bring them back right? Maybe $50 if there's tons of cascading failures. The...

Street Fighter 3 Third Strike NO CD ?

they don't go bad often, but they are also old. a no-cd setup is kind of a one and done setup, like a black CPS2. like most arcade games. a CD cartridge lets you use your CPS-3 motherboard with the other games. All of the CPS-3 simms are programmable, including the reproduction ones. If you only...

Street Fighter 3 Third Strike NO CD ?

One difference is a no-cd cartridge can't load the simms from a cd. If one of your simms does go bad you will need to find another one and program it with a CD cartridge or a darksoft cartridge.

    5 Most Iconic Arcade Games?

For me the all time category, most iconic first 1. Pac-Man 2. Donkey Kong 3. Space Invaders 4. Street Fighter 2 5. Centipede This is not the list of the best games, but the most iconic. If you showed random (non-gamers) people screenshots from those games they could probably identify them...

T2 arcade power toggle switch wires.....what goes where its not in the manual...PICS??

the CRT is 4:3 and 99% of LCDs are 16:9 so you can't just slap an equivalent inch spec into it. The measurement is diagonal across the viewing area, not width. That said it will work with the guns because they are potentiometer based, not light guns. By CRT being long gone does that mean...

    New YouTube channel: Overtime Arcade

cool, i love repair vids. i find that watching them nonstop, even ones for games I don't own is extremely beneficial. Many times I will be working on something and then think back wait, didn't I see this before? Then it's a challenge to remember which video and where, but nonetheless it's a...

I fixed the partial vertical collapse on my multi kombat cab's polo 25". I also finished enough of the repairs on my mr and mrs pac-man pinball that I put it back up on its legs for the first time since I bought the game. I played probably 20 games on it and I'm having a blast. I installed an...

    2 states, 24 hours, 2 op raids

the Atari manuals from that era are just top of class. Excellent covers. Filled with technical illustrations and plain ol' art. They give you the schems. They tell you the theory of operation. They usually even show you the waveforms you should be seeing at test points. I have a pretty nice...
